SaidIt is built on the principle of privacy-first verification. We collect the minimum data necessary to verify human identity and enable our service. We never sell your data and never will.

Account Information

  • Email address (for authentication and notifications)
  • Display name and username (for your public profile)
  • Profile picture (optional, from connected social accounts)

Verification Data

  • Verification status (human/not verified) — we do NOT store biometric data
  • Typing pattern metrics (analyzed in real-time, not stored)
  • Device fingerprint hash (anonymized)

Post Data

  • Content you post through SaidIt
  • Cryptographic signatures of your posts
  • Timestamps and platform information

Connected Accounts

  • OAuth tokens for posting on your behalf (encrypted)
  • Platform usernames and IDs

How We Use Your Information

  • To verify your human identity
  • To sign and post content on your behalf
  • To display your public verification profile

Third-Party Services

We use these trusted partners:

  • Stripe Identity: For liveness verification (their privacy policy applies to biometric processing)
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Supabase: For database and authentication
  • Vercel: For hosting

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Verified post records are kept indefinitely to maintain the integrity of the verification chain. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, secure authentication, and regular security audits. OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256.
